Se-cure Waste Management was invited by ALBA Singapore to participate in the Singapore International E-Waste Day on October 12, 2025, at Bedok Town Square. Co-organized by ABLA Singapore and the National Environment Agency (NEA) Singapore, this event serves as a crucial platform to raise public awareness about the growing e-waste challenges and encourage sustainable practices.
The significance of International E-Waste Day lies in its ability to mobilize collective action. Through highlighting the environmental, health and safety impact of e-waste, this effort encourages stakeholders to adopt measures to reduce e-waste generation and promote proper handling of discarded electronics. It serves as a reminder that each of us has a role to play in minimizing the negative consequences of electronic waste and fostering a more sustainable future.
We had fun with the public – engaging and interacting, sharing and learning recycling ideas and making new friends, playing our very own customized waste segregation game. We see this as a fundamental way for SWM and our communities to build trust, gather feedback and ensure that those impacted have a voice in the outcome of the process.
